This course will cover the making and maintaining of an indigo vat.
We will also look at the different sources of indigo; natural and synthetic; and at some of the possible applications of this amazing dye.
Students will also be taught the Japanese technique of shibori resist, and will be shown how to use this method with silk, cotton and linen fabrics.
